No Hate. No Threats.

We understand — sports hate is a thing. Yes, we all hate that other team, and their fans are total losers, each and every one of them. Yes, that one announcer is a total jerk.

Yes, that wide receiver should have caught that wide-open pass, the coach should have called that time out earlier, and how could that powerhouse slugger swing at that pitch in the dirt with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning?

We get it. We’re fans, too.

Go ahead and post about it. Let it all out. Don’t hold back. Say what you feel.

But don’t make it personal. Don’t make threats. Don’t be a keyboard warrior.

Yes, you’re tough and you can back it up. We get it. We’ll take your word for it.

However, if you just can’t hold back and you just can’t control your emotions, we have the option to suspend, ban and/or block you. It’s our house. You’re just visiting.

Want to be a racist or a bigot? Pick on somebody because they don’t share your politics, skin color, religious beliefs or sexual preferences? We have a simple solution to that: it’s called “GTFOOH.” (Don’t know what it stands for? Ask your mom.)

But you say that you paid to be a member or subscriber, or to upgrade your access … and now you’ve been banned?

Tough. The first rule of CitySports is that “No Hate. No Threats” is the prime directive. Violate that rule, and we get to be judge, jury and final determinor of your fate on this platform.

Can you appeal the decision? Sure. Will we reconsider our decision? Maybe. Will we refund your membership fee if you’re blocked, banned or suspended? If you violated our terms, which you must agree to before becoming a member, maybe will will. (And maybe we won’t.)

So don’t say or do anything stupid. Period.

End of pep talk.
